Gday every one, how is yas?
Well I am back from Rockhampton, the Beef Capital! Like normal I drank a bit, ate a bit and done my work. I got some good results out of the weekend so that will keep the boss happy.
We stayed at a place which I will not name that was not the best place but there was a bloke their that made it better. This bloke worked there and he always had a smile on his face and he would help out with anything that we asked. Isn’t it strange how one person can’t change your opinion on a place. It could of been a real flash place but staff that are always cranky and not helpful would make it shit house.
One thing I enjoyed about the weekend was the new planes that Virgin Blue have. They are Embraer 190’s. Great little planes which they call their “E-Jets”. Only rows of 4 seats, 2 each side and the seats are wider! We were lucky enough to score the emergency exit seats on the way back.
These planes, according to what I have read are for the shorter routes. They are also being used for Sydney - Melbourne routes as their are so many each day. Its nice to be in a very new plane for a change. The seats aren’t even worn in yet. Sitting in a normal seat on the way to Rocky it seemed that there was more leg room than say a Airbus 320 or of the like. They would not get as many people on the plane but I dare say for the routes they run on it would be better to have fewer in a smaller plane than have a bigger one with empty seats. I will gladl fly in one of these again anytime, beats the older Qantas DASh series prop planes.
Thats all for tonight, I need sleep!
Cheers and Beers… nar Rum tonight for something different!
